Longwen Wei is a filmmaker and visual artist currently studying at the University for the Creative Arts. Specializing in dance films and multimedia storytelling, he has extensive experience in cinematography, directing, and post-production. His works have been shortlisted for prestigious festivals, including the Beijing International Dance Video Festival (BIDVF), Dance Camera North, FIFF, and the Berlin Independent Film Festival (BIFF). Notably, he won second place for Best Student Dance Film at the Red Stone Film and Dance Festival (RRSDFF).
As an active member of the ISFVF International Student Film and Video Festival production team, he has contributed to live broadcasts, promotional videos, and music video productions. His expertise spans various aspects of filmmaking, from lighting design to editing, using industry-standard software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
Beyond traditional filmmaking, Longwen is passionate about experimental and innovative visual techniques. He actively explores micro-experimental cinematography, special shooting techniques, and cutting-edge LED virtual production. His curiosity for emerging media technologies drives his continuous artistic exploration.
In addition to his personal creative projects, he has gained professional experience through internships at Orient Selection Holdings Limited and Beijing Chengrang Film Co., Ltd., where he worked on photography, copywriting, and storyboarding. With a strong foundation in both narrative and experimental filmmaking, he strives to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
